In a show of community spirit and support, Terrabis, a leading Missouri dispensary and marijuana-infused product manufacturer, is set to honor local heroes through its sponsorship of the much-anticipated charity event, the Battle of the Badges Baseball Classic. On April 27, 2024, at CarShield Field, members of the local police department will square off against the fire department in a friendly yet competitive baseball game.
In a press release from The Hoots, General Manager David Schmoll said, “We are excited to bring this new event to O’Fallon and St. Charles County. We hope to help raise funds for a great organization while creating a new way for the community to come together to support our local heroes.”
A significant portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the BackStoppers of St. Charles County, an esteemed organization dedicated to providing financial assistance and support to the families of police officers, firefighters, volunteer firefighters, and publicly funded paramedics and EMTs who have lost their lives or suffered catastrophic injuries in the line of duty. The organization is instrumental in alleviating the financial burdens faced by these families, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance during their most challenging times.
Reflecting on the event’s significance, Terrabis CEO Dan Ambrosino shared, “We are honored to play a part in supporting our local heroes through this friendly baseball game. This is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to the community and an opportunity to recognize the sacrifices made by all those who put their life on the line to ensure our safety and well-being.”
In addition to benefiting BackStoppers, the event will feature on-site fundraising activities, further amplifying the support for the families of fallen and injured first responders. Through the combined efforts of Terrabis, the O’Fallon Hoots, and the generous community of St. Charles County, this game promises to be a beacon of hope and solidarity, reinforcing the message that together, we can make a difference.
